Samuel Apoutou (as known as sam4eal) is a French jazz pianist, songwriter and rapper based in Boston and studying at Berklee. His ability to blend the tradition of Jazz and the simplistic side of urban music allowed him to perform for many Grammy nominated artists (Cory Henry, Jesus Molina, Patrick Bartley, Matt Rollings among others) and to play at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway.
Collaborating extensively with fellow musicians from Boston and France, Samuel’s artistic style is strongly recognized by both his peers and industry professionals. Several of his songs went viral on social media, including his cover of « Meilleure Ennemie », with over 2 million views.
His pianistic inspiration derives from both his admiration for McCoy Tyner, Bud Powell and his classical training, which gives a unique character to the songs he creates.
"This is a name that will surely be among the future great jazz musicians who will be acclaimed on stages around the world."
